Grief Support for Infant Loss

The grieving process is not new; people are touched by grief all over the world. Grief is no respecter of person, nor is it a cut and dry process. We offer assistance to anyone who is experiencing loss – whether it be the death of a loved one (pre-born to elderly), loss of a job or loss of a relationship.

The causes of loss may differ and the process differs from person to person, but there are some things that are very common: the wide range of emotions.  There’s denial, surprise, regret, anger, depression, acceptance, relief, happiness, sadness, doubt, confusion, isolation, peacefulness. We need to give ourselves permission to feel the things we feel.

The staff at ELM understand how difficult it is to lose a loved one, especially when that loved one is an infant or an unborn child. That is why we offer a grief support group to men and women who are struggling with the loss of a child. We are here to offer hope and to let you know that you are not alone.

Our support group helps answer the question: “What do I do now?” It is a safe place where men and women can gather together to share, encourage and uphold one another as they process through their grief.

We offer comfort. We will walk alongside you as you walk the road of grief.

Ecclesiastes 3:

1There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

2 a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,

4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,

6 a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7 a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8 a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

If you have experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth or some other cause of infant death, please reach out to us today. Hope and healing are waiting for you at ELM.

You will never have this day again, so make it count.
